What Is A Community Impact Fund?

A community impact fund is a collaborative fund established in partnership with selected charities to address specific areas of community needs. When you contribute to this fund alongside other donors, the collective impact of your giving is multiplied, providing relief and improving the lives of vulnerable and underserved individuals and their families.

Learning Initiatives For Employment: Uplifting Disadvantaged Job Seekers

Learning Initiatives for Employment (LIFT) has been a crucial support system for those facing challenges in securing and maintaining employment, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Outing For Seniors: Bringing Cheer To The Isolated

Outing for Seniors: Bringing Cheer To The Isolated

What began as a small initiative to combat loneliness grew into something extraordinary. In 2009, Mr and Mrs William Bird established a donor-advised fund to organise outings for older individuals facing health or mobility challenges. By the following year, it transformed into the Outing for Seniors (OSF) community impact fund. OSF took over 15,000 seniors on 1,000 outings to incredible destinations like Gardens by the Bay and River Safari. During the COVID-19 pandemic, charities adapted by offering virtual tours, centre-based activities, and even an innovative "A Trip to Nowhere" bus tour, all aimed at easing anxiety and isolation among seniors.

Migrants Emergency Assistance And Support: Helping Distressed Migrants

Migrants Emergency Assistance and Support: Helping Distressed Migrants

Migrant workers are the unsung pillars of our workforce. Many of them face challenges in both their personal and work lives, ranging from workplace injuries, compensation shortfalls, subpar living conditions, exploitation, and even abuse.

In 2010, we set up Migrants Emergency Assistance and Support (MEANS) in collaboration with the Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics, a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to supporting migrant workers. MEANS extended immediate help to workers, providing aid for food, transport or medical expenses, and securing temporary accommodation when needed.
