CapitaLand #LoveOurSeniors – Keeping vulnerable elders safe during COVID-19

CapitaLand Hope Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand, has partnered with CFS’s Sayang Sayang Fund to contribute $700,000 to Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) through the CapitaLand #LoveOurSeniors initiative.

The contribution will go towards emergency support for community care providers such as personal protection equipment, disinfection of the premises if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19, as well as support for affected staff, elderly and their family members. The contribution will also support a preparedness fund to keep the vulnerable elderly engaged and safe in the community as well as appreciate the hard work and dedication of community care staff during this challenging time.

Mr Tan Seng Chai, Chief Corporate & People Officer of CapitaLand Group and Executive Director of CapitaLand Hope Foundation, says: “CapitaLand’s value of caring for the communities where we operate has been core to who we are and what we do. As a homegrown and socially responsible company, we see the need for CapitaLand to provide aid to the elderly who are amongst the most vulnerable groups, and the community care staff who are providing vital support during this difficult time. By collaborating with like-minded partners such as CFS and AIC, we hope to make a positive difference through our collective efforts in the fight against COVID-19. We believe that by standing together in solidarity, we will be able to overcome this crisis and emerge stronger.”
