With the rise in community cases within Singapore’s migrant worker community, MigrantsOK@Home supports charitable organisations with their operational needs, with the aim to better extend care to around 20,000 migrant workers, including post-recovery accommodations and care for workers.
For this initiative, CFS partnered with Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2) for a contribution of $200,000 towards phone top-ups for migrant workers isolated in dormitories during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, 20,000 workers across 43 Purpose-Built Dormitories (PBDs) received an automatic $10 top-up to their prepaid SIM Cards, which allowed them to connect with their loved ones back at home, providing mental respite and emotional comfort during this difficult period.
